Good questions

Most people do. You are seated with a table the moment you check in, so there is no room to work and no one to know in advance.
No. The dots handle it, and plenty of the room is wearing yellow and blue only.
Your name tag, your signal. Yellow for new friends, blue for collaborating and networking, red for romantic connections. Wear as many as apply, and change your mind mid night if you want.
The lineup changes every event, so expect several rounds and a few surprises. No two nights run the same.
The games are icebreakers, not tournaments. If you can hold a conversation, you can play.
